Balkan Network for Social Inclusion is a platform of non-governmental organizations with a shared vision of social inclusion of persons with intellectual disabilities. The network currently comprises of representatives from Bosnia and Hercegovina, Kosovo, Serbia and Czech Republic. The aim of the network is to raise awareness about emerging social inclusion issues in West Balkans and advocate both on the national and international level for real inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. Embracing the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities the partners of the network believe that support for persons with disabilities should be realized in community living rather then in residential institutions. Moreover, this network engages closely with people with intellectual disabilities and values their input in all its work.
This website serves as a source of information for all persons interested in inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities. A simple version is available to ensure maximum accessibility.
